The SR Fawns will be having a CAR WASH FUNDRAISER on March 13, 2010.  Tickets are $5.00.  The Fundraiser will be held at Vick's Hamburgers on Ayers.  Please support all our Southside Teams.

A NOTE FROM OUR UMPIRE COORDINATOR---

Hi Coaches,

I need to know who you're umpires will be for your team by Sunday, March 14th. I will need to know who the umpire is, their phone number, email and availability, including if they have more than one child playing in multiple divisions.

Umpire schedules will be done by Thursday of the week prior to the scheduled games. I will do my best to get them posted as soon as possible. Schedules will be posted on the back door of the concession stand, posted on the internet and emailed to all coaches/umpires who have submitted their email to Johnni or myself.

Coaches, ultimately it is your responsibility to make sure your games are covered. If your representative cannot make their scheduled umpire commitment, it is the coaches responsibility to find a suitable replacement. Please check the schedule and make sure you/your representative know when to be there. Sign up sheets will be in the back of the concession stand. While I am at the field a great deal of the time, I do have other commitments that may occasionally keep me away. Please remind your representative to sign the sign in sheet to insure that your team gets the proper credit. If you/your representative cannot make their scheduled game, please call me with your/their replacement as soon as you know so that I will know who to expect on the field.

In the past, I was luck enough to have some volunteers who would umpire extra games and/or umpire in place of a coach. Unfortunately, this year I do not have that luxury. If you know of anyone who is willing to do this, please let me know.

Don't forget, your representative must take the umpire test. If you have people who need to take the test, please call me and I will arrange a time for them to take it.

The rule is that for the number of scheduled games your team has in a week, you/your representative must umpire the same number of games in that week. I would appreciate it if you are willing to do extra games, but they do not count for a future weeks games. They do however, give you/your representative more experience and ultimately make you a better coach and umpire. The effect is the forfeiture of your next scheduled game.

I will do my best to work with you, but remember, I have 46 teams and 100+ people to work with. I'm sure I will make mistakes, please be patient.

Don't forget that our umpires are all volunteers. Please remind your parents to be respectful of that.
