Schedules for the 2012 Little Miss
Kickball Season has been posted. All
GAME SCHEDULED have been posted.
These schedules have been carefully
constructed and although great care has been taken to post them exactly as the league has given them to me,
remember that this schedule, is UNOFFICIAL. The OFFICIAL LEAGUE CALENDAR will be posted in the back of the concession stand.
Please help keep
my RESULTS and STANDINGS as accurate as they can be. Email me after your games with the game score and outcome. Emails should be directed to

Reminder: Each Coach/Team is
responsible for Umpiring an equal amount of games as the
amount of games their team is scheduled that week.
The effect for not meeting this requirement is the

Eagle Scout Project Underway
Clayton Smith, grandson of Jerry Smith (complex
namesake), is conducting a beautification project of the
Jerry Smith Fields, Home of Southside Little Miss
Kickball. He was busy all fall raising funds for the
project which will include 6 covered picnic tables, two
of which will be handicapped accessible, and two
uncovered tables to be put under trees. Saturday,
February 25, Clayton and about 26 family members, Boy
Scout Tropp 73 members and their parents and friends
volunteered to help cut, sand, and preassemble that
tables. This coming Sunday, March 4, installation of the
tables will take place starting at 10 am. We need many
Southside volunteers to chip in to help make this
project a reality at our fields. Along with instillation
there will be painting, weed eating, picking up trash,
etc. to make the fields something we can all be proud to
call a home away from home. Little Miss and Women's
participants are all invited to help with the
beautification of the fields we love so much. See you
Sunday to help make a difference at Southside and to
help Clayton complete his project that will benefit us
all for years to come. Bring paint brushes and
weedeaters. Lunch will be provided. See you Sunday!

LMK Scholarship
Little
Miss Kickball International offers the opportunity to
graduating Seniors to apply for several scholarships. These
scholarships are awarded at the All-Star Tournament yearly.
If you would like to apply, please download the application
here. Remember, all scholarship applications are due by
April 16th.
2012 LMK Scholarship Recipients will be announced
at the State Tournament Opening Ceremonies
2012 Little Miss Kickball/Hooks Night was a blast...and what a game. Hooks win 4-7 on a walk-off 3-run homerun! It was fantastic to see
so many girls in uniform. If you have pictures of your team, please send them to webmaster@sslmk.com so they can be included in our slideshow!

New Scoreboards are installed! 2/27/2012
Great news, through the partnership of Southside Little
Miss Kickball and
Southside Adult Kickball we have been
able to replace our well used scoreboards with brand new
ones. We would like to recognize the very generous
donation of $8,200 from
Southside Adult Kickball towards this project. The installation took place Monday, Feb. 27,
2012. Currently we are looking for sponsors that
would like their names prominently posted on over each
scoreboard on our fields. Anyone interested in
this great opportunity can get their name displayed for
one year, for a donation of $500 per field. Please

Judy Gallagher Memorial Fund
On
April 21, 2008, The Southside Family suffered the loss of a
great supporter. Judy Gallagher, wife of Meritorious
Board
Member Jim Gallagher, mother to veteran player Amy Gallagher
and aunt to Trey Hopkins was
called home by the Lord. Her impact on our league will not
end with her passing. The family has established the SSLMK -
Judy Gallagher Memorial Fund.
Those interested in contributing to Judy's Memorial Fund can

78411. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jim, Amy, Trey and
their entire family.

Southside Adult
Kickball Scholarship
Southside Adult Kickball was founded in 2009. It
offers Adult Kickball for Women and COED Play.
Registration will begin in June 2012. The Season will
begin in early August. In 2011 Southside Adult
Kickball offered TWO 12-Game Seasons - Fall I
(Aug-Sept) & Fall II (Oct-Nov) and we hope to do the
same in 2012. Visit our website at

To date SSAK has
reinvested over $16,100 in scholarships and donations to
Southside LMK.
On June 8, 2011, Southside Adult Kickball awarded scholarships
for the second year to graduating seniors,
Valeria De La Garza, Lorraine Barrera,
Ana-Lisa Cadena, Briana Cantu,
Victoria Villegas and Melissa
Gonzalez (not pictured), pictured here with
League President Jesse Kendall. Each girl
received $400 towards their
college expenses. Congratulations, Ladies and Good
Luck in all your endeavors.
